What power supply do heated grandstand seats need?
Smaller areas run on a standard Schuko socket with 230 V / 16 A. Large grandstands are supplied via three-phase power with 400 V / 32 A. Each seat draws approx. 60 W and is controlled via DALI.
What does SmartSeats cost venue operators?
In pilot mode we provide the seats free of charge and you only pay for usage. There is no upfront investment, no upfront cost and no minimum term. You receive a non-binding offer for your venue within 48 hours.
How much revenue can heated seats generate per event?
Example: 50 seats at €2.50 per seat per hour, a 3-hour event and 80 % occupancy result in €300 revenue per event. You set the price for spectators yourself.
Do the seats work in rain, snow and frost?
Yes. The technology is IP65 certified, dust- and waterproof, operates from -20 °C to +50 °C and uses UV-resistant materials.
Does anything need to be installed on the grandstand?
No. SmartSeats require no permanent installation and are ready to use once connected to power. You can start with 50 seats, single rows or entire grandstands, and expand modularly to more than 10,000 seats.
How do spectators activate and pay for the seat heating?
Spectators open the SmartSeats app or scan the QR code on the seat and pay with PayPal, credit card or Apple Pay. Heating starts immediately. The app runs on iOS and Android.
